Liddy Settling In

The things we loved about Liddy right away: her quiet nature, her adorable face wrinkles, how relatively simple potty-training was turning out to be, and her ability to sleep through the night. :)

Within 4 days, she did develop some congestion and was doing a lot of sneezing! Eye goop galore! I checked with our vet friend and she said it was common for dogs to develop an upper respiratory infection upon leaving the pound. She seemed to be eating, drinking, playing and sleeping normally. We've waited it out and she is nearly sneeze-free! And now she's crazy-hyper! Not all the time, mind you, but when she runs laps in our backyard it's a sight to see!!!!!! She runs like the wind! Brings a lot of great laughs to us.

She's up to date on her shots and someday we'll make a trip to the awesome dog park we have across the street (Cosmo Dog Park: http://www.ci.gilbert.az.us/parks/popups/cosmo-park.cfm). We'll take her to the "Timid Dog" area to get her better socialized.

She really enjoys laying in the warm sunshine of an Arizona winter. Here are some pics of her doing what she does best:
